Citibank consumers have reported over 200 official complaints related to Unsolicited issuance of credit card. Out of the 200 consumer complaints against Citibank, 11% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how Citibank responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 19% of consumer complaints against Citibank resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 28% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

Since I was not inforrmed by Citi that my balance was transferred to them and I never received a bill or statement from citi my payment was late and citi sent a late payment to my credit report. Meanwhile my autopay to - was made. When I found out about this 6 days after my payment was due to citi I called them and they said there is no grace period and I was out of luck, my credit report will show the late payment. This is fraudulent as I did not apply for a credit card from -. One of the investigators from - and I spent the better part of an hour on the phone trying to get someone at - fraud department to answer the phone and all we got was repetitive messages asking us to wait for the next available representative. I tried to make payment and was given instructions to call citibank and pay them.
