Unsolicited issuance of credit card Hawaii
On -/-/- when shopping at Macy 's my purchase was charged to the account number -. I have never received a card with this account number, this is not my account. My Macy 's credit account is -, which I pay online, promptly, always. On -/-/- I began receiving Macy 's Account Statements and phone calls regarding Act # - being past due. I responded by calling the customer service # - to get my original charge applied to my Act # -, have the past due charge removed, and have my name removed from this Act # - that is not mine. I refused to make a phone payment as when I had done so in the past the phone payment was not applied to my Act # -. On -, - I received a letter from the Citi Card, for Department Store Nat'l Bank collections recovery. I called and submitted a written explanation of the circumstances regarding Act # -, only to receive another letter from the Citi Card, for Department Store Nat'l Bank collections recovery -/-/- and again -/-/-. On -/-/- I received a letter from - regarding Act # - and began a series of call and correspondence with them. On -/-/- I paid the undisputed amount of $410.00 through -. On -/-/- Macy 's recalled the dispute and I have continue phone and correspondance every 2 - 4 weeks with the response from them always being it will take 15 days, 30 days, or 60 days for them to review the dispute.
