Citibank Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card Alaska
- used to have an arrangement with - that allowed customers to use an - card to charge purchases and act as their membership card. In 2016, they changed that relationship to Citi and now use their - card. However, in doing so, they somehow instructed Citi to issue me a credit card in my name. I neither asked for nor applied for a - card with Citi, but - showed up in my mailbox. Since I already have a -, I destroyed the new card. About 6 weeks later, I got a call from Citi demanding that I pay my past-due bill. Having never used their card, nor having received any statements from Citi, I asked how I could owe them money. They explained that Costco had transferred my - balance to Citi, and that was the past due amount that they were calling about. If there is not, I assure you that I will speak with my - members about passing -.
