Citibank Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card New Jersey
I had a Costco membership with a Costco American Express ( AME- ) Credit Card. Costco ended it 's relationship with AME- and began a relationship with VISA. I let my AME- expire and thought that by doing so my Costco membership would end as well. What actually happened was that Costco tranferred my account to VISA. I never activated the VISA card sent to me but I had recurring billings on my AME- that were transferred to the VISA account. The VISA account was set up with CitiBank. I ignored subsequent mail from Citibank assuming it was advertising. On -/-/2016 I received an email from Citibank indicating my account was past due. At that time I called Citi and asked for a statement to be sent to me as I had no idea what had been charged to this card. On -/-/2016 I paid the full balance on the card and cancelled it. In the interim, Citi made a report to - and - - that I had an account that was 120 days past due. This has changed my Credit Scores from Excellent to Weak. I made several phone calls to Citi trying to get this resolved. I finally reached someone who gave me an address and fax number for CitiBank Credit Bureau disputes. I was told there was no phone number to reach that department. I faxed the information to Citi on -/-/2016 and left contact information so they could reach me. Today is -/-/2016 and I have heard nothing and have no idea if they are looking at my case.
