Citibank Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card Texas
-/-/2016 Macy 's credit card acct opened in store and made purchase of $43.00 received email -/-/- saying statement ready to view ( I had already paid the - on line after setting up online access. could now not login and no email response for lost password, reset request. Called & determined - fraudulent charges made on macy's.com. I told them to close the account, & i had not made any other purchases. they said they would send me a form to fill out. I received a replacement card which I had no knowledge of and a blank form with no info about the fraudulent charges. called again & asked them to send statement with charges. also said if i did n't have online access & ebilling why was n't the charges information sent to begin with. Are the credit issuers required to read a statement to notify & receive approval to issue a replacement card? it was not done, and when I asked that question today was told they have a new system & it could have been a glitch. today I asked the agent to read the dates & amounts over the phone so I filled out their form and will mail it in. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any credit card company.
