I contacted Navient this morning to ask about lower payments on private loans for which I have a co-signer. - - - in collections explained that he would have to pull the credit report of both me and the co-signer in order to see if lower payments were possible. Navient is trying to change terms within our promissory notes in which states our private loans must be paid back in 48 months. This policy is not listed in our promissory notes that we signed off on, their has been no new promissory note sent to us stating new terms and policies. I am still in school and they are trying to make me pay back loans when I should not be according to the terms that I have signed off on in my promissory note. I was unexpectedly called by an employee of Sallie Mae asking the whereabouts of my friend. This was an incredibly intrusive call and upsetting.
