Unbeknowst to me, a friend has a loan with Sallie Mae. I was unexpectedly called by an employee of Sallie Mae asking the whereabouts of my friend. This was an incredibly intrusive call and upsetting. I had never given my permission to be contacted in this fashion. I asked for his information to follow up. The employee 's name is - -, Counselor for Recovering Income, at - -. His number is - - - -. His supervisor is - -. My friend later explained to me that, although Sallie Mae has her contact information, this employee had similarly called all of her friends, family and even a neighbor. I was shocked to hear this and wanted to ensure the correct supervising authority was notified.
