In - of 2016, I arranged to settle my account with Navient. The agreement was that if I paid half of my total balance due, that they would agree to settle the remaining balance since the account was 10 years old and in good standing. 2 weeks after I made my payment and was told it was settled and I would receive a letter in the mail stating so, they have been trying to collect the remaining balance that they agreed to write off/settle. I have contacted Navient several times explaining the situation and each person confirms the account is settled. Now I am getting past due payment statements that will probably end up reflecting on my credit report. I want this resolved!
