Amex consumers have reported over 133 official complaints related to Billing statement. Out of the 133 consumer complaints against Amex, 26% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how Amex responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 17% of consumer complaints against Amex resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 5% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

Each call lasted 1-1.5 hours with an average of 4 individuals, with each call claiming to have resolved the issue. They do list a " closing date '' as well, which is at the required 30 day interval but do not explain what it means. This is misleading and appears to be designed to circumvent the intent of the law.
