Amex Credit card department,
I am writing this complaint due to the billing practice American Express -. Well I was glad to apply and get accepted for a credit limit of $3000.00 ( on - 2015 ). However few weeks after acceptance I started to receive a bill of the amount $450.00 urging me pay now in order of avoid late fee charges. I was surprised because I have not even activated the card at the moment. I was concerned, so I called customer service requesting a clarification regarding the bill. I was told that was an annual fee ( and membership card ). After that conversation, I attempted to purchase a set of furniture on - but decided to cancel the order later on. On the of - - 2015, I used the card to purchase gas for my car. And on - -, 2015 I received an email from American Express, stressing that my card has been canceled because after their analysis and observation, I am a risk. But they are requesting I pay $480.00 even though they have canceled my card. So, I think that I should not pay the $450.00 due to the fact I did not have to opportunity to enjoy the membership. I should only pay the gas bill ( $37.00 ) since they decided to cancel the membership.
