Amex Credit card department,
American Express customer service representatives failed to resolve a simple issue even after 6+ hours on the phone, and talking with 10 individuals. Each call lasted 1-1.5 hours with an average of 4 individuals, with each call claiming to have resolved the issue. They would place me on hold and leave me with a new customer service representative with no warning, transfer me to departments that were unrelated to the issue at hand, and would place me on hold for 20-30 mins without warning. I 'm not an angry person, I did not yell or otherwise get verbally short with the representatives ; rather, it was clear they did n't want to manage my request ( re-issuing a billing statement ). Not only was American Express difficult to reach, they were incapable of quickly and responsibly addressing my concerns. To date, it is still not resolved.
