TransUnion consumers have reported over 65 official complaints related to Problem cancelling or closing account. Out of the 65 consumer complaints against TransUnion, 6% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how TransUnion responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 20% of consumer complaints against TransUnion resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 12% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

Instead it provides a free credit score and a credit report for $1.00. You have to create an account with them in order to get either. Both are part of a 7 day trail. After 7 days you have to pay $17.00 a month for their monitoring service. You can cancel within the 7 day trial period. This TransUnion web page came up on the www.freecreditreport.com site.
