Credit monitoring or identity protection problem cancelling or closing account
TransUnion Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Problem cancelling or closing account Michigan
-/-/2015 called - Trans Union to place Credit Freeze on my credit report. I was told it would cost $ 10- so I said I would give her my CC # and she said there was a $1.00 fee to use the credit card. That was all she disclosed. I gave her my CC # and was told a credit freeze was in place until I removed it. - -, 2015 there is a $17.00 charge on my CC # from Trans Union for I do not know what. I called them and was told I agreed to some sort of credit protection-I assured her I had not and she said I did that it is clearly stated on the web page-I told her I had called to place the freeze and she kept on about a contract. I have been a - for over - yrs ... ..I know full well and good when I have gotten involved with a contract and there is no contract. I told her I want my $17.00 back and the account closed and she started to tell me some of the features. I already have fraud protection elsewhere-to cancel and refund or I would escalate this situation. Only then did she say she would close it but it was already paid for so no refund. I explained I would dispute with my bank. This is a credit reporting agency ... ... ... conducting fraud. I know the difference, I have seen it - of times. Something needs to be done - this is inconceivable, who are we supposed to trust? This is a public violation of trust and has to be in violation of credit regulations. Please confirm this account is closed and this does not happen to anyone else. Thank you.
