October 26, 2016 - I have been paying back my student loan since -/-/-. I was late for - payment about 2 years ago and it was only by a few days. Other than that, I have never missed a payment no matter how hard it was to make the payment. I tried in good faith to get them to refinance the loan. However, they keep saying they will be coming up with refinancing options, but they never do. The terms of the loan are completely unfair. It is very high interest and a very short term. February 23, 2016 - One of my student loan providers is Discover. I 've attempted to call them and ask them for a lower monthly payment plan but they advised they do not have any plans like that. They only offered to provide a forbearance in which I 'm not interested in because I do n't want to have my interest increase.
