April 19, 2016 - On - - I received a letter in the mail from ECSI informing me that my account was 15 days past due and that they would report delinquency if the payment was not received in the next 15 days. Until I received this mailed notification I had no previous notice that my deferment period was over. ECSI took a financial predatory approach by notifying me only AFTER the payment was due that I owed them money, which allowed them to collect a late fee. They arbitrarily instituted a $0.00 fee on all payments made with checking accounts directly ( as opposed to autopay ). It is much more to pay by credit card. The only way to not pay those " convenience fees '' is to pay by check or automatic withdrawal. There was always a fee for paying with debit/credit card, but now there is also a fee for direct withdraws from your account.
