U.S. Bancorp consumers have reported over 38 official complaints related to Unsolicited issuance of credit card. Out of the 38 consumer complaints against U.S. Bancorp, 13% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how U.S. Bancorp responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 5% of consumer complaints against U.S. Bancorp resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 42% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

Once HR applied, it came back rejected because it showed my SSN with an outstanding Gov. CC already for $450.00. I had to contact US bank who is the governments CC issuing company and could not get a straight answer from anyone at all. First, I was told it was a prior Government CC, then it was n't, then they kept asking me for my CC number and I kept telling them I never had this CC and do not have a number. U.S. Bancorp Credit card unsolicited issuance of credit card February 12, 2017 - US Bank claims is refusing to provide evidence that the credit card debt is valid, I have requested, numerous times, proof that I authorized this account. They are ignoring my requests, including the most recent one, attached, which was sent by certified mail. If US Bank can not provide proof of authorization for this account, then one can speculate that US Bank can not provide proof of authorization for other accounts. There is a history of banks opening cards, -, without consumer authorization. This is a serious concern.... |

Neither my wife nor I applied for that credit card, which I was told by a U.S. Bank representative, was opened in -. I am shown in U.S. Bank records as an authorized user of the account, but it is my wife 's name. She has never applied for a credit card solely in her name since we married almost 35 years ago. As a result your company placed a credit inquiry on my reports even though I was not the person who applied, opened, or attempted to open service. As stated in the complaints. I have fraud alerts and freezes on my credit because I was a victim of identity theft -/-/-. As a result my credit report as alerts on them until -/-/-. Im not sure how someone got a hold of my information and attempted to apply for credit.... |

In order to get a - bps reduction in the rate I was told I needed to open a checking account in a branch. I went into the branch to open my account, and the girl opening the account offered me another credit card ( I already had - from US Bank for several years ). Firstly, the work was unfinished and shoddy but the largest issue is in the amount pursued being placed on a credit card that was never received. I was notified through a telephone from - voice mail on -/-/2016. I received the credit card on -/-/2016. U.S. Bancorp Credit card unsolicited issuance of credit card August 18, 2016 - A US Bank agent called me and said ( paraphrased ) " I see you 've had a regular cash rewards card with us for over a year now ... would you be interested in " upgrading '' to a cash plus card? '' I said yes, the agent took my work/salary information, etc. and after a few minutes she told me that " you were approved ''. The only additional information she provided was that I was not approved for visa signature just the regular visa. She did not say anything about the credit limit or interest rate. While discussing the product I applied for I realized it was not what I intended to pursue. I was given a different ( inferior ) card than the one I applied for an was told, " oh, well, you should use this other card for 6 months and then you 'll almost be certain to get the card you actually want.
