U.S. Bancorp Credit Card Complaint

Unsolicited issuance of credit card

U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,

Unsolicited issuance of credit card Indiana

I have recently went to work for the - and was asked to have HR apply for a travel card for me for overnight travel. Once HR applied, it came back rejected because it showed my SSN with an outstanding Gov. CC already for $450.00. I had to contact US bank who is the governments CC issuing company and could not get a straight answer from anyone at all. First, I was told it was a prior Government CC, then it was n't, then they kept asking me for my CC number and I kept telling them I never had this CC and do not have a number. I spent over 12 hours and several lost man hours on this issue. After speaking with 4 different supervisors and Mgrs including Fraud supervisors, I was finally told that this account was actually a corporate account and although it was issued with my SSN back in -/-/- and was closed out in -/-/- after company ( - ) failed to make remaining balance on card paid down to 0 balance. Fraud explained account was too old to trace back, but yet no one was willing or able to explain how this balance

- back then and have never had a CC with or for - time I called, I was given a new - number to speak to a supervisor or someone who could assist me, not to mention I had to start from scratch each time I made a new call or had a new supervisor on the phone. I have spoken to -, -, -, -, -, -, - and another - at these numbers : -/ -/ -/ -. My government coordinator has tried to assist me as well and same answer was given to her. This was never my account and not to mention its - and was closed out in -/-/-, It is keeping me from obtaining a Government CC because US bank is who the Government uses for all of our CC 's. I really need this issue resolved and removed from my SSN so I can obtain a new CC for my work travels. Thank you -
