U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card Colorado
I refinanced a mortgage through US Bank in - 2015. In order to get a - bps reduction in the rate I was told I needed to open a checking account in a branch. I went into the branch to open my account, and the girl opening the account offered me another credit card ( I already had - from US Bank for several years ). I told her I was n't interested, and a week later I received a new credit card in the mail. After calling the branch manager to find out what happened, he said " she accidentally pushed the wrong button. '' - it takes more than one button to open a credit card - more like a few dozen. After assuring me that the card would be closed and it would not reflect on my credit bureau, it now shows that I opened a card and closed it the same month on my - report. Fraudulent accounts being opened by bank employees is not just limited to - - - they were just dumb enough to get caught.
