I was preselected to receive up to that amount and maybe more. I applied for less than that amount and was denied. My credit score was over -. When I contacted them they only checked to see that I was supposed to receive the offer. They also told me I would have to apply with one of their other companies at higher rates ( bate and switch ). Social Finance, Inc. Consumer Loan shopping for a loan or lease April 29, 2016 - I applied for a personal loan with SoFi Lending and was approved. Their disclosure process is not clear or upfront which leads me to believe it is not legal. After I signed loan documents it was disclosed to me that the loan would not be funded for up to 30 days and have been told I wo n't be given an exact date for funding. It should be disclosed upront that funding does not occur for 30 days. This should occur in the disclosures before applying. Consumer Loan problems when you are unable to pay March 4, 2016 - I have fallen into a vicious cycle where I am unable to pay my debt and so it just keeps growing, and I now owe more than I take in each month. I called SoFi, a company with whom I attempted to consolidate my debt at one point to discus my options - the original loan was not large enough to consolidate all my debt and I was unable to manage both sets of payments - and they completely dismissed me. I then cancelled the automatic direct deposit that had previously been connected to my account. Sometime after - -, - that payment was rejected. Since then, every employee has given me a different story on when the funds will be in my account. I 've been told on three different occasions the funds were ACH 'd into my account and would be available in a few business days. I was given other deadlines by two additional employees for when the funds would be available and those, too, have came and passed.
