PayPal consumers have reported over 19 official complaints related to Advertising and marketing. Out of the 19 consumer complaints against PayPal, 26% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how PayPal responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 21% of consumer complaints against PayPal resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 0% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

PayPal Credit card advertising and marketing November 17, 2015 - Paypal Credit ripped me off. Signed up for a credit account that was " No Payments and No interest on purchases for 6 months ''. I made a charge of $1500.00. Two months later, I purchased something for $50.00. I was charged interest on the $50.00 charge. PayPal Credit card advertising and marketing October 15, 2015 - Used the PayPal interest free for 6 months option. I paid my balance in full on the purchase I used it for within the 6 month promotion. I have gotten - statements on the interest and late fees that were incurred during the 6 month promotion. I am now in collections for the fees and late payments that should have never been applied according to the promotion of 6 months deferred payment with no interest.
