March 28, 2017 - I had an outstanding balance with my college. I paid them the balance that I owed. I checked my credit report & saw that the college sold the debt to a collection agency. I disputed with the collection agency to let them know that I did not owe them & that I paid the debt to the original creditor. After getting the dispute results back, it was updated on the collection account as " Paid collection. '' This is inaccurate as I paid the debt to the original creditor. November 25, 2015 - This company is telling me that in order to get out of default, they figure repayment plans with gross income and family size only. They wanted $800.00 a month, plus the $610.00 out in wage garnishment. The federal student loan website that a rehabilitation plan must be a reasonable '' amount. June 9, 2015 - I received a phone call from coast professional '' at my place of employment. The person on the phone asked if I was ( my name ). March 22, 2015 - A company named Coast Professional Inc utilizing an address of - -, - -, LA - is attempting to collect a purported debt that if valid, would have been at least - years old. Under California law, where this purported debt would have arisen, the Statute of Limitations ( SOL ) is - YEARS.
