Barclays Credit card closing/cancelling account December 29, 2015 - Barclaycard has had my timely payment for a number of years, and rewarded me with a number of increases in my creditline. However, they decided to replace my credit card with a chip-protected card, out of cycle - meaning, before the current card expired. December 28, 2015 - I have a Barclays - Extra points VISA card. When I purchase items, I accumulate points that can be redeemed for NFL merchandise.
