Barclays Credit card billing statement October 27, 2015 - Credit card company only provides 20-day grace period for credit card payment due date ( calculated from statement closing date -, instead of the 21-days required under federal law ( from statement mailing date ). Also, statements are mailed out late, since they take over 7 days from the statement closing date for me to receive, and USPS first class mail only takes 2-3 days. The 21-day federal minimum is supposed to apply from the date the statement is actually MAILED, which is why most credit card companies have a 25+ day grace period. I have never had a late payment and even made advanced payments. I noticed that I was almost at my credit limit and had n't used the card.
