Greetings, I formerly held a - - -, administered by Barclay Bank. After the merger of - - and - -, my card was converted to an - - " -. '' I did not receive the card in the mail. I did not receive the terms and conditions by mail, email or any other way. I never possessed the card. I did not activate the card. Regardless of this, - converted my autopay settings, which provided automatic payments from my - checking account. They charged me an annual fee on the card I did not apply for, did not want, did not possess, and did not activate. Then they collected partial payment from my checking account and began to charge interest on this annual fee. It took a few months for me to notice, but when I did, I called and requested that the card be cancelled immediately. They promised to cancel it. It was not cancelled. They continued charging me fees, interest etc, and taking money directly from my - checking account. I called again, and requested to cancel the card and a refund from all fees/interest charged on this card. They refused, and I asked for at least a refund on payments that took place after I called to cancel the card and they failed to cancel it. In short, I was charged an annual fee + interest + servicing fees for a card I did not apply for, did not want, did not possess, and did not activate. Is this legal? I would like to file a complaint against Barclays Bank, -, and -.
