Pentagon FCU Credit card closing/cancelling account February 1, 2017 - I have an account with Penfed and they recently cancelled my credit cards without reason and without warning. The excuse customer service gave me is that they " could n't verify my income ''. I have submitted my - and paystubs TWICE and they did n't say anything was wrong with them. For them to close my accounts AFTER giving me the cards is beyond unprofessional. If I was n't credit worthy to them, they should not have given me the cards in the first place. All of sudden, they closed my card without a notice until my transaction got declined when I was trying to pay at a gas station with this card a few days ago. I closed it in - - with a $10000.00 - - in Pays As Agreed status. The closure was only reported to - correctly. - and - still report it as open with a $2500.00 credit limit. I had a checking & saving account and - major credit cards with excellent payment history 's. Around -, 2015 I checked my accountso on line and all my accounts are closed and my credit cards are charged off. I called and had several communication was different representative and they stated that my accounts were closed. They had me down on my accounts as being DEASED.
