The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is a 21st century agency that helps consumer finance markets work by making rules more effective, by consistently and fairly enforcing those rules, and by empowering consumers to take more control over their economic lives.

The CFPB will forward your complaint to Factual Data and work to get a response. After your complaint is forwarded, Factual Data has 15 days to respond to you and the CFPB. Factual Data is expected to close all but the most complicated complaints within 60 days.

October 20, 2016 - According to my most recent credit report, Factual Data at - - - - - CO - is currently reporting to the - credit bureaus that I applied for credit in - 2014. I did not give authorization to review my credit report. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that a creditor be able to verify the written authorization of the consumer giving the creditor permission to review their credit. They are wrong and could not provide proof that I was ever even sent a bill, they 're only response was that they sent me a bill and that was enough.
