October 8, 2016 - I recently came out of bankruptcy and began making payments on my loan for almost a full year. The loan company, Aspire, keeps adjusting my variable interest rate upwards. I have called and spoken with them about my monthly payments and keeping it affordable, as well as paying them off as soon as I can. I have begun paying my loans a little earlier to help with paying it off sooner. However, my interest rate has steadily increase and make it difficult to lower my principal. July 15, 2015 - This complaint is for how the customer service of - - - handled a recent issue with their online payment system. Payments made online during the date of -/-/15 faced system issues where the payment was triplicated instead of processed only once. I became aware of the issue only after checking my online bank account ( -/-/15 ) and saw the reoccurance of the transaction and the overdraft they were causing. April 21, 2015 - Iowa Student Loans ( now Aspire Servicing ) is harassing myself, my family, & friends even though I am up to date on my payments. They are currently calling anyone I have ever put as a reference in a very creepy manner, refusing to say why they are calling. As was necessary, she obtained several loans over the period of four years. As her parents, we co-signed her loans. After college we made repeated attempts to consolidate her loans.
