Review and analysis of over 45 Checking Account complaints against Pentagon FCU
Pentagon FCU consumers have reported over 45 official complaints related to Checking account. Out of the 45 consumer complaints against Pentagon FCU, 20% were disputed by the consumer (i.e. the consumer was not happy with how Pentagon FCU responded to their complaint) and 100% were processed in a timely manner. 27% of consumer complaints against Pentagon FCU resulted in the consumer receiving monetary compensation (e.g. money, cash reimbursement, etc.) and 9% resulted in non-monetary compensation.

Pentagon FCU Bank account or service account opening, closing, or management April 10, 2017 - I opened an account with PenFed Credit Union back in -/-/-. I credited the account with a - dollars and never used that account again until today. So since there were no mouvements, they closed the account and sent the money to the previous address I used to live. I was not aware the account was closed. They never called or sent me an email. When I called on -/-/- at -, - from PENFED told me they sent the check of $100.00 to my previous address and I wo n't be reimbursed for that amount.... |
Pentagon FCU Bank account or service account opening, closing, or management March 4, 2017 - I was recently approved for a credit card with Pentagon Federal Credit Union. In order to take advantage of the 2 % the card offers members are required to either be in the military service or open a checking account. I was informed by one of their agents that since it has been less than 90 days since they reviewed my credit they would not need to obtain a new report in order to open the checking account. Pentagon FCU Bank account or service problems caused by my funds being low January 17, 2017 - In -/-/-, opened share savings account and given membership number -, and in -/-/-, opened limited checking account. Someone hacked into my - account and attempted to make purchases with my registered accounts in the - system. With very limited funds in the mentioned accounts, of course, PenFed rejected these debits from the account. However, after multiple attempts/returns to the account, this Credit Union has assessed at least $700.00 in bank fees. Pentagon FCU Bank account or service problems caused by my funds being low September 15, 2016 - A stop payment was requested back in - 2016. The request was never removed. Several occasions, items were presented against the account, no funds were in the account. Thus resulting in non sufficient fees ( NSF 's ). Several times, I spoke to managers in the customer service to get credit for the fee being assessed. In two occasions, they were reverted. However, other times they were not. During my tenure at the Penfed, I have often been offered many products and services ( i.e. Credit Cards ) ; but, each time I have applied I have been denied. As time went on, I began to notice a pattern and came to suspect blatant discrimination and began to challenge their quick denials. Four times I was turned down for a mere personal loan of - before finally being approved after having to provide a number of documents, complain to the board, and speaking to high level managers. I was trying to apply for a mortgage at the same time so this was disconcerting. After being bombarded with emails and paper post I decided to cancel my account almost immediately after. At the credit union he had several accounts - money market certificate accounts, credit card and a share account. My father passed away - -, 2015. His estate is currently in probate and I 'm the executor of the estate. Pentagon Federal Credit Union will not close the accounts at the bank due to the fact my father had a balance on a credit card statement. Pentagon FCU Bank account or service deposits and withdrawals July 3, 2015 - A client of mine had his company bank account compromised. As a result, one of the checks written on the account was my monthly check in the amount of $3000.00. Once he found out his banking account had been compromised, he immediately contact me and I immediately contacted PenFed. I told PenFed what had happened and immediately wired $3000.00 from another account to cover any and all transactions.
