I was recently approved for a credit card with Pentagon Federal Credit Union. In order to take advantage of the 2 % the card offers members are required to either be in the military service or open a checking account. I was informed by one of their agents that since it has been less than 90 days since they reviewed my credit they would not need to obtain a new report in order to open the checking account. I applied on -/-/2017 and they pulled a credit bureau.
