February 27, 2017 - I deposited a check for $1400.00 into my account on -/-/-. Due to my account going negative back in -/-/- they are placing a 5 day hold on any check deposited into my account until -/-/-. When I paid my mortgage, the funds were not to pull from my account until -/-/-, however due to a typo, the funds withdrew on -/-/- causing my account to go negative again. March 30, 2016 - Ally Bank is scamming customers with a history of overdraft issues. Only with people with a history of overdrafts in the last 6 months find themselves in this situation. If I know I need to make a deposit in order to cover a debit, when I make a deposit, they will go from the standard 1-2 business days before the funds are available to 5 business days for those that have a history of overdrafts. I keep a - balance in the checking account and instead exclusively use my checking account with another financial institution, but I do keep money in my savings account at Ally.
