August 3, 2016 - I applied for a student loan re-finance with Earnest. They are advertising a 3.5 % APR as the lowest fixed rate. I earn well into -, have a - -, no other debt other than a 2015 car with a loan of approximately 50 % LTV and a $1200.00 mortgage, 10+ years of work experience, - - with no late or negative information. December 17, 2015 - I applied to have my student loan refinanced with " Earnest '' and the company quoted me at a rate of ~5.2 %, but when the loan was approved the rate was increased to 6.86 % with not explanation even though I have an " Excellent '' credit score. And when I asked the representative to investigate why the rate changed she said she would check with the underwriting department and get back to me.
