Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled Virginia

I have had my Navient student loan for approx 7 yrs. I have had a payment due of average - a month, this has been this amount for years. I received my monthly bill and it was - for -. I called to find out why and was informed that it was actually supposed to be - a month and as of - it would be that amount. I have NOT received any kind of notice of the increase. I spoke to a supervisor who told me the same thing. She was willing to reduce it to - a month. I have always paid my account, in fact I have made extra payments when I can. How can they increase the amount due without any kind of notice? I keep all of my statements, every single one of them. There is NO notice of an increase. I was told that this was their policy. She also told me that she can now mail the policy to me. I want to know where this policy is and why the consumer is not notified prior to the change. In today 's day most of the population are on a budget, I am on a budget, to receive a bill that is more than expected is hard. But to find out that it was going to more than double is ridiculous. I can not pay that amount, I have to keep a roof over my head and my childs. Yes I work but I also live paycheck to paycheck.
