On - -, after receiving numerous harassing calls from Navient, I visited their website, Navient.com to check on a recent payment in the amount of $140.00. This payment was in response to I noticed that there was no payment in the amount of $140.00 instead there was a payment in the amount of $270.00. I immediately called them and spoke with their representative, -. She transferred me to -. Her response was as follows : " The $140.00 was split between account ending in - ; $130.00 and account ending in - ; $4.00. The balance of the $270.00 was to help keep your account out of default. $45.00 and - " I informed her that this was clearly fraud. Navient was falsely documenting the files. - ( Navient 's representative ) continued to inform me that account ending in - was a " charge off ''. Surprised at her statement, I clearly gave her the definition of " charge off '' and questioned : ( 1 ) why I had not been notified, ( 2 ) how is Navient still having this on the books as collectable and why have my payments been largely credited to a " charged
- responded to my inquiry into Navient 's irregular accounting practices. He justified it by initially stating that he did not see what I was seeing. When I went further about the defined columns on the Navient 's site, he disputed what I was in fact seeing. He stated that the $270.00 was not a line item recorded as " received ''. Please see attachment. I informed him of - 's clarification of the item and again, repeated that Navient had done irregular accounting practices. - insisted on blaming the problem on - -, their local office. Upon questioning him on the " charge off '', - had another tale. Navient is practicing irregular accounting practices on top of continuous harassment.
