Credit card Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was discharged in bankruptcy Michigan
Hello, -/-/2010 I got a discharge letter from -, AZ for - -. Couple of weeks ago ( after 6 years later ), I got a phone call from - phone number @ -. Saying that I have unsatisfactory case from Bank of America credit card amount of $10000.00 that I owed and asking for settle amount of 50 % otherwise they will get a judgement and sue me .... I thought this account might have missed during the bankruptcy. After checking my file from the attorney and credit report that I pulled after 3 month later after bankruptcy, it clearly said that this account was " Discharged through Bankruptcy Chapter - '' So, I called back to them trying
I violated with BOA for this account in order to get a bankruptcy and asking me - % of settlement instead of - %. They basically told me that there was fraud on my discharge. But I did everything legitimately through my attorney and had no problem at all for 6 years. Is this scam? I needs some advise on this please.
