I recentally went though a financial hardship and got behind on my Discover credit card. My acount was understandably suspended. I was able to get things back on track around -/-/2015. I spoke to a Discover card employee and explained my situation and advised I was able to pay my balance in full but asked if there was any way to get my account reactivated. She advised me that after 3 months of on time payments I could call and request to have my a count reinstated so I followed her advise. After 3 months I called to follow up and was told it was 6 months and I had to fill out paperwork which he would mail to me. A month later I never recieved the paperwork, called back in and was told they would mail it to me again. Now yet another month later, and no paperwork, I called to follow up and was told there was no paperwork involved and the computer automatically decides what accounts to reinstate or not reinstate at random. I am trying my best to get my credit back on track and make up for my mistakes but Discover has continental to play games with me and give me false and varrying information each and every time I call. Had I known this I would have paid the account and closed it months ago but instead I followed the false advise I was given. I am very disappointed in there lack of customer service to say the least.
