BB&T Financial Consumer Loan department,

Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay West Virginia

I have an account through BBT and I also have a vehicle loan. On -/-/2016 my husband was hurt at work and has been unable to work since so after talking to BBT we decided to do a voluntary repossession on our truck that we was paying - a month for because we knew that we couldnt pay it with him not working and we didnt want to get behind. When we took the truck back to the BBT location - of their employees told me that they would sale the truck and if there was still an amount owed they would set up a payment plan with me. After that day we had recieved nothing from BBT about our truck being sold. Today - we went to get groceries and our cards wouldnt work so we went over to the same office where they tell us that the collections dept. had froze our account and zeroed it out leaving us with no money which was around -. The guy we had dealt with before said he had never seen them do that and he tried calling around for us but didnt get anywhere. I called and spoke with a

What I dont understand is that we have been loyal customers with BBT for years before getting this truck loan and we have never overdrafted or had any problems with them and we have never been late on our vehicle loan either. We didnt get any information saying that we still owed on the loan, they just took every bit of money that we have instead of trying to work with us and do a payment plan. We could have just kept the truck not payed the payment and a couple months from now they would of repossessed it but instead we tried working with them and they done this too us, leaving us with a balance of - in the bank and no cash
