Credit card Disclosure verification of debt right to dispute notice not received
Discover Debt collection department,
Credit card Disclosure verification of debt Right to dispute notice not received Alabama
I received a notice this year from the IRS stating that Discover sent them a - for an old collection where pmts had not been made since -/-/-. I did not settle this debt nor did I receive a - from the to file on my -/-/- taxes. Also, Discover still shows that I owe the full amount of this debt as a collection on my credit report and is still updating with no mention of settlement for less than balance. The IRS says I owe them $1000.00 and wants me to consent to changing my return. This debt has exceeded the Statute of Limitations and is set to be removed from my credit report -/-/-. I have disputed this with the IRS and sent them a copy of my credit report showing this but they just keep sending me the same letter. I think it is wrong for them to side with Discover. Can you help me?
