I called Navy Federal Credit Union Title Department on -/-/-, to request a title so that I could register my - BMW - in the state of -, As I moved from getting out of the military in -, to my home state in -. I updated my information online and when I talked to the representative, I re-verified the address with him. He stated it would take between 15-30 days to receive the title. I have never received that title. Recently, I paid off the vehicle. I called on or about - - for an update on when a title was going to be sent for the vehicle. I was told that it would be held for 10 days then released. I was then notified that Navy Federal Credit Union did not have the title. I called -/-/-, and was told again that Navy Federal did not have the title. The customer service representative verified that a title was sent out, and she asked to verify my address. The address it was sent to was in -, even though -/-/- I verified my information with the customer service representative, and my information had been updated periodically during both -/-/- and -/-/-, and lastly, I was requesting the title for -, because obviously, I am leaving -. The company states that they tried to reach me by mail, but they also have my phone contact information, and did not call in regards to the title. They are now telling me they mailed it to my - address last year, even though they read back to me my - address when I called on -/-/-. Now, I am left picking up the administrative pieces, as my vehicle has not been on the road since -/-/-. Since I can not register the vehicle, it is not legally allowed on the road.
