We are working on a short sale for a property with - liens, We had anticipated giving the first lien ( Seterus , Inc. ) a FULL PAYOFF - no short sale required. The - lien has rejected our short sale payoffs several times ( $6000.00 then $10000.00 ) after getting the buyer to increase their offer several times over the course of several months, we had been able to come up with almost $ 15,000+ for the - lien. As we have done every month for the last several months, we ordered a payoff letter from the - lien - and from - - to - -, 2015 the full payoff amount went up over $5000.00! The issue is not that it increased, it does every month, the issue is that the only increases that went up were the SHERIFFS COSTS for items that were n't done. It looks like this lender INCREASED AS MUCH OF THE INCIDENTAL FEES AS POSSIBLE TO INCREASE THEIR PAYOFF TO THE POINT THAT A FULL PAYOFF WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE. In addition, agents have been out to the house and nothing has been done to the home related to the charges on the payoff statement.
