Finance of America Mortgage LLC Mortgage settlement process and costs April 8, 2016 - My boyfriend and I applied for a mortgage pre-approval with - from Finance of America Mortgage LLC on - -, 2016. After speaking with -, he said we were good to go and we put an offer on the house ( - - - ). They accepted our offer and we sent them a check for the deposit of $1000.00. On -/-/-, I received an email saying we had to place a stop payment on the check, which I did. We had to resign our Agreement on -/-/- and send out a different check.
