Oxford Law, LLC Debt collection communication tactics frequent or repeated calls October 30, 2015 - I was asked to choose - item that best describes my issue however multiple issues could have been selected. The latest one that has me seething is they called my mother in law pretending to be conducting a background check on my company. Asked her if my husband was in fact my husband, asked her how many employees I had and asked for my phone number. Then he called my husband to tell him I had a debit. After a lot of wasted time and being talked to very rudely it was discovered they had the wrong phone number on account, and was assured I would not receive another call.
