Neither my wife nor I are borrowers ( or responsible ) for this debt. They continue to contact me on my cell phone asking for my wife by her previous last name. When I do ask her to return their calls, they tell her they are calling her because she was listed as a " reference '' on her ex-husband 's delinquent payday loan. Clear Debt Solutions, LLC Debt collection disclosure verification of debt right to dispute notice not received June 7, 2016 - This company called me - -, 2016 regarding a debt that I have no knowledge of. I have never heard of the company and the man was harrassing and said I must file a police report. I stated no I did not have to do anything, but by FDCPA they were required to send me a notice in writing regarding this alleged debt. They have the incorrect employer, bank account and email address that they stated they have on file for me. Told them not to call me at work. CDR called again on -/-/2015. On -/-/2015 they were told once again that they were not to call at my place of employment. They called again today -/-/2015 and when they were told that they were not to call at work, they hung up the phone without saying anything. I - his name and company, and found him to be a debt collector and possible scammer. I did not give out information, but instead told them to send her a verification of debt and cease communication. I am an attorney and handled legal matters for her before. I did not ask for information on the debt ; I only told him to send a debt verification. He became irate and said I was " full of it.
