A collection company is now trying to collect the debt from me. I am not a party to the debt, nor have I ever been. I requested verification of said debt, and they sent a copy of a statement in which I am not listed. They refuse to stop persuing collection of the debt unless I file a police report for Identity Theft. I do not see any indication that my identity was stolen by the borrower.
