Experian Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Personal information Michigan
Hello, My name legally changed in 2015 and the credit reporting agencies refuse to accept the court order and make the change to the credit report ( The previous name must not be disclosed, per court order - more than five years after the change ). This has resulted in a denial of credit because of lack of a credit history and a fraud alert on my account. They have stated that they will not change the information unless it comes from an original creditor, but this is false credit reporting because it is my history, my former ( birth ) name, and my new ( legal ) name. One of them did finally agree to make the change, but still sends my information in the former ( birth ) name AND when it did reflect the new ( legal ) name, they included a middle initial. There is NO MIDDLE NAME/INITIAL.
