JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
LATE FEE was assessed even though Chase made it impossible to make the payment online by purposedly blockign access to my account. Although there may be times when making a payment online is not possible, such as their own internal outage or server issues, this account was blocked apparently on purpose so that the fee would be assessed immediately. The actual payment had to be - and was - made the next day, after access to the Chase website was secured. The company stated that other means to make the payment were available, e.g., phone, I, however, had no access to the phone on the evening the payment was due. Chase has refused to credit the late fee despite being responsible for the issue.
