I recently opened a new credit account with Kay Jewelers and was approved for a $1000.00 credit line. After the account was approved, the available credit was subtracted by $530.00 for a previous Chargeoff account that was sold to - in -. I satisfied the balance IN FULL with - - - on -/-/- and I showed Kay Jewelers - - - ( - Virginia ) location a copy of the payment confirmation letter on -/-/-. The representative called Kay 's Credit Authorization department and confirmed with the department that the previous account balance was paid in full. I contacted Kay customer service department today -/-/- after confirming that the available credit has not be restored via their company 's online account service and phone -. I spoke with the customer service representative -, she contacted the Credit Authorization department who advised that my account available credit will continue to reflect incorrectly on the consumers side ( online account and phone - ) but if I needed to make a purchase I would still have my full available credit available to use despite the inaccurate representation online and in the -.
