Discover Credit card department,
Discover card has reported me to -, - and - as having been 30 days late, I never received a statement from Discover and sometimes do n't get all of my mail and that is why I requested electronic correspondence ( not statements ) and alerts to let me know that I have a new statement, payment, payments when the card is not present etc. I have this with all of my other credit cards and I have an absolutely perfect credit history but unfortunately Discover did n't alert me of a payment due and I did not receive a statement so I was alerted by experian ( I use all - agencies to monitor my credit ) that an event occurred on my credit bureau when I say that Discover reported me for being 30 days late I paid the account in full which was only $170.00 and spoke to a representative and discussed the situation, they understood but claimed that they could n't help with the lateness, I then called back and spoke to a manager and he told me that my account was NOT set up for electronic communications and then set the account to do so he also told me that he could n't do anything about the past. I continued to discuss the situation but they were unmoved by the situation I have a perfect credit history that I always worked very hard to maintain that has been ruined by this blemish which in some cases dropped my Fico score by - points, I really need somebody to step in and make sense of this situation to the agencies that report credit history and have them understand that the reason this happened is because they failed to accommodate my request to send corespondence via email.
