I had a lease with Ally Financial for a 2012 -. The lease payments were made in a timely manner and the vehicle was returned. There was damage and that was paid timely. There arose a dispute about the return of headphones with the vehicle in the amount of $110.00. That dispute continued for months with correspondence being exchanged. Eventually it wasnt worth it so the balance was paid. Ally reports now the $640.00 was charged off, while at the same time saying that the account is paid in full. The charge off is affecting my credit. I have disputed it with - but they have denied it because of Ally. I have contacted Ally who confirms the account is paid in full but they refuse to change the charge off. It is absurd to say they charged it off, the incorrect amount to begin with, and then acknowledge that the acoount has been satisfied.
