Discover Credit card department,
I used the Discover Deals section of the Discover.com website to make a purchase with a 5 % cashback bonus. I used this page ( - ) to buy a - and get 5 % back, but when I asked a Discover representative later for more information they said my purchase was excluded, even though - was not listed under exceptions for the deal at the time. The representative acknowledged that the live site at the time did not exclude the purchase, and said they would investigate further. The next day - was added to the list of exclusions, and I was told I would not receive the 5 % back, so I canceled the charge. Attached is a print out of the original deal before it was changed and a transcript of my correspondence with Discover.
