My complaint is directed towards Regional Acceptance Corporation. I have had a loan with them for two years. My outstanding balance is not going down at all and they charge $10.00 per day that the payment goes past the due date. In my particular situation, I had poor credit due to a loss of a job which in turn I lost my house, car etc ... ..this is the only company that would accept me, this is something I HAD to do as my mother was ill and I had to travel long distance every weekend to care for her. I lost my mother in - of this year and due to the travel back and forth became late on my payment, I have never been 30 days but sometime close. My monthly payment is $500.00 on a - - -, now they are charging $10.00 PER DAY late fee plus their late fee, the loan is not moving! It will never move, I will be paying this for the rest of my life! My credit is now in good shape, I just received an approval letter for a home loan, I tried to get a modification with Regional Acceptance and they said they do not do modifications! I was approved with my credit to refinance for $200.00 less per month BUT my loan is under water and no one will touch it! The car value is approximately - and I owe -!!!! This is out of control! It has to be against the law somewhere for these people to take advantage like this. They are all over the web with similar complaints.
